When Sydney Allen entered seventh grade he faced the dilemma of writing the annual school essay of what he did during his summer vacation. He couldn’t write about what actually happened. It was too dangerous to tell the truth. So instead, he fabricated a totally believable tale of a memorable sightseeing trip to the Pacific Northwest.
What really happened started with a stolen car; then an arrest; a roadside accident involving an encounter with a lecherous tow truck driver; and a disastrous whitewater rafting trip that would forever change his life and the lives of this family.
